Ritzer/Koch wedding September 12, 2009!!!

First of all I would really like to take this opportunity to congratulate the new Mr. & Mrs. Jeremy & Stacey Koch!!! This wedding was an absolute pleasure to do!!! The bride was absolutely stunning!!! The weather was gorgeous they could not have had a better day! And The Birches is a great venue to hold an outdoor wedding! The ceremony on the water was breathtaking and what made it even more special was the live music provided by The Mitch Beube Band their sound is so amazing they would make any event terrific! They played throughout the cocktail reception and their talent is beyond words you have to listen for yourself check out their website! The food was fabulous the reception was catered by Now That's Catering they couldn't have better people on staff and I'll say it again the food was fabulous!!! Stacey & Jeremy really lucked out when it came to vendors looking after their special day they were all a pleasure to work with and I hope to work with them all again in the future! Other vendors taking part in the day included Paul Bennet of PM Productions he did the photography & DJ Jean Paul from Flashpoint Productions he was a very interactive DJ which is always the best at a wedding! What fun we had doing this wedding! It will be one of my favourites for a long time to come! Congrats Stacey & Jeremy all the best from My Sweet Wedding Co.

Last second Wedding Invites!

I know it has been a while since I last blogged but things have be rather hectic this year! Trying to restructure the business and take it in a whole new direction as well as serving brides can kind of tie you up! I had the pleasure of doing some invitations for a lovely bride to be Soragia she was so much fun to work with but the job was a rush so I didn't get too much time to get to know her, but from what I have figured out she is a terrific person and will make a beautiful bride! She is getting married in October and will be having her reception at Cullen Central Park I want to wish her and Mark all the best and I look forward to seeing pictures after the wedding!

I am really looking forward to decorationg and coordinating the Ritzer/Koch wedding. It will be held at The Birches Cottage Resort with Bed & Breakfast located on the beautiful Lake Joseph in MacTier, Ontario (Muskoka Lakes) Keep watching for the posts after the weekend to see how it goes!

Looking for a whole new look once again!

I'm so very excited to announce this before I begin blogging about my up and coming plans. My Bride and Groom from June 28, 2008 (Isaiah Tubbs Wedding) Are expecting their first child! May 24, 2009 Congratulations to both of you!! Children are such a blessing!

I have been a busy little bee trying to make changes within my business and to change the look and feel of my website I have been shopping around and hope to have something new very soon!!! I'll keep everyone posted!

Busy, Busy Girl!!

November I was booked booked booked!!! Now that Christmas is approaching I will be winding down and spending a few weeks with my family before beginning the insanity all over again next year!!!

It has been a while!

Wow it has been a while since I blogged last. Things have been going great and have also been quite crazy!!! I have been trying to spend a bit more time with my family and getting my oldest son ready to start senior kindergarten! (How time flies!) Still no news on the Isaiah Tubbs disaster only to say that they have been continually getting bad reviews all summer (Their current rating on Trip Advisor is a 2/5) and when the problems from the June wedding were brought to the attention of the BBB they didn't even have the courtesy to respond to them so the hole is getting deeper and deeper, and if I owned a venue like that, I would care a bit more about keeping the business in the hands of good people who aren't going to run it into the ground with their brutal customer service instead of letting the staff treat guests like pardon the expression "DOG POOH" I will keep you up to date on how things go. I am currently preparing documents for a lawyer.

EVENT DAYCARE IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!

We have finally launched our new Event/Wedding Daycare service it is up on the website and booking up quickly!!! We are so excited about the launch and can't wait to get it all underway!! This department is being headed up by a certified teacher with the Durham District School Board Kathleen O'Mara! We look forward to working with her in the future!!!

We have just launched our new website! We hope you all enjoy it!!! It is still a work in progress but with business growing at such a quick pace the work will take a little extra time. We are very proud of this installment of our website and hope that it stays with us for quite some time!

Are they worthy of a Link???

I'll tell you all they aren't worth a nickel in my books!!! The staff is incompetent they serve terrible food! And their contract isn't worth the paper it is written on! I can't go into detail because this is going to court however what I can tell you is this place isn't ever going to be used by my company EVER!!!! What a NIGHTMARE!!! This would be a great story for an after story on Wedding SOS. Isaiah Tubbs Resort is not a good place to get married at all!!! Well the venue is beautiful however the staff are much to be desired! Check out their crappy rating on Trip Advisor this should tell you everything!!! When everything is over and done with I'll fill you all in on the details!

Veniot-Rivers Wedding Week!

Well this week has been insane! I have put in close on 60 hours and we haven't even begun the festivities! I only just got rough agendas from Isaiah Tubbs on Tuesday and have had to do itineraries, instruction sheets and everything else this week what a crazy ride!!! I have also been going back and forth with the agendas as they were a mess when I received them. Today I will be going to Picton with the Bride and Groom to get the festivities under way! I hope all goes smoothly and I will return on Monday with a new blog to let you all know how things went! Take Care and have a great Canada Day Weekend!

Veniot-Rivers Itineraries

Well no itineraries yet and we are two weeks until the wedding. Isaiah Tubbs has yet to provide agendas!! What kind of business is this place running???

Grand Central Station!

Today was pick up day!!! Lots of appointments in a short period of time!!! It has been crazy around here today! Now I'm off for some family time! My son Daniel is playing soccer tonight. It will be great to get a break!

Busy busy week!!!

This week I am assembling invitations for 2 weddings and a bridal shower!!! This is a complementary service that I offer to all of my couples as assembly can sometimes be complicated and irritating to the busy bride and groom! But it very time comsuming for me so I will be very busy this week!

Corrie & Kevin's Wedding!!!

I had the absolute pleasure of coordinating Corrie & Kevin's wedding yesterday. They couldn't have had a more fantastic day chosen for this event. The weather was spectacular, they had a wonderful turnout and best of all they shared this wonderful day with their two small children Kevin & Jaiden! The wedding was held at Gen. W. Sikorski Polish Veteran's Hall outside in a quaint and beautiful little valley hidden away from everything! It doesn't get any better then that!! Congratulations guys! All the best to you and your beautiful little family!

Water bottle labels!

Jennifer and Brett have decided that they are going to personalize bottles of water to give to their guests! I think that this is such a thoughtful idea considering their guests will be travelling on the Sunday after their wedding and it will be very nice for them to have a bottle of water for the road! I am working on the mock up for this label today!

One week to go until Corrie and Kevin's wedding!!!

Corrie is a friend of mine from Public and High School! Her and Kevin are high school sweethearts isn't that great!!! I don't think that happens too often anymore! They are getting married in one week at Gen. Sikorski's Polish Hall in Oshawa. They have a beautiful little valley there nestled in a small wooded area I think the wedding will be absolutely breath taking providing we have no rain! I'm very excited to be coordinating for them as it is also a personal job for me!
